Class Rules

Universal Rules for Cawston

1. Follow directions quickly the first time.
2. Keep hands, feet, and objects to self.
3. Be respectful.
4. Make smart choices.
5. Solve my own problems peacefully.

Discipline

The classroom has a daily/weekly reward and discipline plan. Each child starts their day on “Good”. Behavior and effort determines whether each student moves up or down the ladder. Positive behavior and effort is rewarded with tickets and Cawston coins. On Friday I draw five tickets and those five students get to choose a prize from my prize box. The more tickets a student has, the better their chance of getting a prize. Negative behavior will have a student move down the ladder. Consequences for poor behavior include lost recesses, notes home, moving away from their table group, loss of Fun Friday, citations, Friday Opportunity, and trips to the office.
Please remember that toys are not allowed at school. Toys will be taken if they are being played with during class time. A parent note or phone call will be required for the toy to be returned to the student.
