5th Grade - Ocean Institute Field Trip
Hemet Unified School District has a new camping experience for the students and are excited to share the new information with our families. Student's will be attending the Ocean Institute's Chaparral to Ocean Science School from Monday, January 22, 2018 - Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
The student's will use hands- on data collection and analysis to study the relationships between living and non-living components of six unique California ecosystems (riparian, oak woodland, chaparral, inter tidal, benthic, and pelagic). Evening activities will include a nocturnal investigation and campfire skits and songs.
Then, a trip to the Ocean Institute Concludes the experience and allows students to explore food webs, water qualifty, life cycles, and tide pools. The camp is located in the mountains by San Juan Capistrano at Lazy W. Ranch.

logo on to our home page of our website. Once you log in, navigate to the SCHOOL STORE link at the top right of the page and there you can find the links to purchase STUDENT and CHAPERONE passes.
All paperwork is due on January 5th. If your child is planning on attending, we need all necessary paperwork and money ($150.00) in by then. If you are a Chaperone you also need to have your paperwork and money ($130.00) turned in too.
