Principal's Message

I am honored to continue to be a part of the Cawston team serving my third year as the principal of Cawston Elementary.  I am committed to promoting a culture of learning and inclusion where all students are empowered to realize their potential in a supportive environment. As we are currently preparing for upcoming school year, we could not be more excited for the return of our students. We take pride in the rich Cawston tradition of cultivating relationships with our students and families while delivering high quality instruction and providing the necessary support for every student. It is our philosophy that "It takes a village to raise a child" and we look forward to working alongside our families to ensure our students' success. We welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to learning and we look forward to working with you and your children. We are delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. 

The 2023-24 school year will mark my 21st year in education. I have had the opportunity of working in Hemet Unified as a teacher and as an assistant principal before this role as Cawston's Principal. I have raised my family in this valley and could not be more proud to be a part of this community.  I look forward to working with you and your students, ensuring that all students feel valued and respected.  We are fortunate to have parents as partners in this endeavor.   

Cawston’s goals are aligned with our district goals of Teaching and Learning, Systems of Support, and Culture and Climate with a focus this year on Literacy and Chronic Absenteeism.  It is so important that your students are at school everyday and on time. Our expert team at Cawston will maintain it’s focus on student growth and development during the 2023-24 school year as we continue to promote a respectful, responsible and safe learning environment.  It is our desire for students to feel connected and develop a love for learning that will give them the self-confidence and motivation to be successful. Your engagement will help your students feel connected to our school community.
