This is my seventeenth year of teaching but was a student teacher and a substitute teacher in Temecula prior to that. I have been teaching fourth grade for the past sixteen years. I first taught for a year at Fruitvale Elementary, and then I taught at Winchester Elementary for three years. My last thirteen years at Cawston have been a real joy because I love the students, the families and the staff I work with.
I have three wonderful children of my own. My eldest child is 24 years old and he graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. My second child is 22 and has graduated from the University of California Riverside. My youngest is 20 years old and will be a junior at the University of California Santa Cruz. My husband retired from the US Navy a few years ago and has transitioned well into civilian life.
I was a choreographer for stage productions for many years, but I have always had an inclination to teach. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. I migrated to the US many years ago, "worked" as a stay-home mom, and then earned my Cross-Cultural (CLAD) teaching credential from the California State University San Bernardino and Cal State San Marcos in 1999. I completed my master's degree in Teaching and Learning from National University. I enjoy being part of a dedicated and hard-working staff, and serve in the Leadership Team and the Talent Show Committee.
In my spare time I like to travel, dance, watch movies and concert videos in the comfort of our family room. Our family loves to travel and entertain friends and family at home. I have a busy and fulfilled life!!
